Given the described use case, the aim of the Chainlink Fall 2021 Hackathon is to create and test a minimum viable product with a primary focus on the NFT platform. The ad network aspect of the business model shall therefore be kept in its simplest form and serve the function of a simulation. The MVP aims to confirm that the functionality offered by the end product is needed by particular groups of users.
Hence, the objective for the MVP is to create a minimal version of the ad network and its NFT platform that confirms that:
- website owners will see a viable value proposition in the opportunity to mint and sell NFTs that represent future ad revenues from the monetization of their websites with the ad network
- investors will see value in purchasing and owning such NFTs
- it is technically possible to create such dynamic NFTs which contain and automatically update relevant information that will allow investors to make an assessment of the value of the NFT
- a smart contract can automatically and autonomously manage the complexity of the revenue flow scheme of the demonstrated use case
Consequently, the key steps for the MVP are:

Desired outcome:
- creating a simple version with core functions of an ad network to demonstrate the functionality of the NFT platform and to make it compatible with other ad networks (adding ad campaigns, adding ad units, in-build analytics tool, API to connect to)
- building an internal marketplace for the listing of monetized websites
- successfully designing a smart contract to mint the intended NFT with dynamic functionalities to extract, display and update relevant stats & to manage all revenue flows
- testing the minimal product on customers and confirming value aspect for all parties involved
